The lawsuit involved hacked DNC documents in which the judge stated the Trump campaign members “did not participate in any wrongdoing in obtaining the materials in the first place” thus relieving them from any legal responsibility for publicizing the information. A new ruling has come into play by U.S. Attorney General William Barr, which is anticipated to prevent tens of thousands of migrants from seeking asylum under the justification of family ties. Barr is now saying that it is not enough to qualify for asylum if you are simply a family member of someone being targeted by gangs.   The case highlighted on Monday by the Justice Department is known as Matter L-E-A and is reportedly about the son of a man “who owned a store targeted by a local drug cartel.” The son, who is a Mexican citizen, entered the US illegally seeking asylum twice. His last entrance was in 2011. Earlier today, The United States Attorney General Bill Barr directed the Federal Bureau of Prisons to adopt a proposed Addendum to the Federal Execution Protocol. What this does is clear the way for the federal government to start applying capital punishment for the worst of the worst offenders. According to the Justice Department's press release, the Federal Execution Protocol Addendum will replace the formerly used 3-drug procedure for a single drug procedure. This resembles the procedures used by Georgia, Missouri, and Texas. The replacement drug to be used in federal executions now will be pentobarbital. Pentobarbital has been used in 14 states for over 200 executions since 2010. The Supreme Court has upheld the use of pentobarbital for executions saying that it does not violate 8th Amendment rights.
