Makers of Suboxone Agrees To $1.4 BILLION Settlement!!! 7/14/2019 Author: 777 Media Source    On Thursday,  Reckitt Benckiser Group agreed to a settlement of $1.4 billion to resolve its possible criminal and civil liability relating to a federal investigation. The federal government was investigating the marketing of  Suboxone, which is an opioid addiction treatment drug. Suboxone is a product that is approved to be used by recovering opioid addicts, to help reduce the symptoms of withdrawal. The active and most addictive ingredient in Suboxone is buprenorphine.    According to the Justice Department's report, RB Group and its subsidiary Indivior Inc. allegedly engaged in a nationwide scheme to increase the prescriptions of Suboxone. RB Group resolved its possible criminal liability from the conduct alleged of Indivior, by agreeing to a settlement of $647 million. In the newest court filing, federal prosecutors asked the court to be denied bail and accused Epstein of wiring money to possible co-conspirators. The United States attorney’s office allege that Epstein wired $350,000 to two co-conspirators within five days of the Miami Herald article that exposed the one in a lifetime deal that Alex Acosta gave Epstein in 2007.    Prosecutors said in their court filing,     ”And Epstein’s efforts to influence witnesses continue to this day. Acosta has had all eyes on him since the arrest of financier, Jeffrey Epstein, and his highly controversial handling of the 2007 sex abuse case against the billionaire. His name can now be added to the list of President Trump’s advisors to leave the administration due to controversial circumstances.     Reportedly, Acosta has said that he did not want to be a distraction to the administration’s work and the flourishing economy because of his approach to the Epstein sex abuse case more than a decade ago.
