California Sex Ed programs teach role playing to students — Progressive or unethical?

   California school teachers have recently been taught a lesson themselves, a very explicit one at that. A video, released on June 26th, exposes the American Civil Liberties Union giving instructions to educators on how children can gain access to abortions without the consent of their legal guardians. In addition to the ACLU, Planned Parenthood and the California Board of Education have also been involved in the lessons of new, progressive sex education programs. It is said that the ACLU collaborated with California school districts and planned parenthood to devise more up to date sexual education and gender theory lessons.

   The video was released by “Our Watch” (a conservative association) and can be described as an instructional video on how to assist students on obtaining abortions without the consent of their parents. The star in this video is ACLU staff attorney, Ruth Dawson. In this video Dawson presents ideas on how to explain student absences to parents and how to block them from electing to remove their children out of LGBTQ education classes. John Andrews, a Murrieta School District parent, describes the video,

    “They talk about mutual masturbation.” “They disicuss gender roles, the gender spectrum, and in the support materials ... they take it even further. They discuss everything, topics like role playing for different genders, blood play, dental dams ... fisting is mentioned. I mean, they mention it all.”

   Andrews went on to say, “If I were to show that material to a child, I would be brought up on charges.”  “But somehow our public schools are allowed to teach this to junior high and high school kids.”

   Pastor Tim Thompson, “Our Watch” President, reportedly told the Daily Caller News Foundation that after thorough undercover work, considerable instances of the progressive agenda were discovered. He went on to add that the May legislation by the California Board of Education, which enacted compulsory sex and gender education, is what provoked the investigation and publishing of the video.

   Thompson noted that the ACLU, assisted by Planned Parenthood, is responsible for the Health Education Framework in May, as well as the AB329 legislation. AB329 requires that school districts demand students to take sex-ed classes.  It also encourages students to dismiss discussing sexual topics with their parents. This is due to the fact that it may interfere with the California schools teachings and topics examined in sex ed curriculums. These curriculums are taught all the way from kindergarten through 12th grade. Thompson stated,

    “We don’t want our children exposed to some of these things they are showing, these pornographic, sexually explicit material. It has no place in the classroom. It’s not right, and it won’t be tolerated.”

   Thompson reportedly told the DCNF that parents are generally unaware of the gravity of these California sex education programs. He was quoted saying, “We knew parents had to see for themselves or else they weren’t going to believe it.”

   In a health education meeting by Riverside County, a comprehensive health education organization, school districts were taught how to keep parents in the dark on topics such as if their child has received an abortion. A member of Thompson’s team attended and filmed the meeting which was presented to the public as a simple curriculum conference.

   The Daily Caller reports that Riverside County spent tens of thousands of dollars to pay for the training.  According to Advocates for Faith and Freedom attorney, Nada Higuera, the training was provided by Cardea Services and was kindly paid for by using taxpayer funds. Higuera told the DCNF that the information obtained was done though a submitted request to California Open Records. Thus far, Cardea Services had not responded to the DCNF despite the many attempts for comments.

   ACLU attorney Dawson (originally misidentified in the video) can be viewed in the footage referring to abortions stating, “Regardless of how old a student is, they can walk into a doctor’s office and consent to these services without parental consent.” Dawson notes that these practices also apply to pregnancy and prenatal care, contraception, emergency contraception in addition to abortion. She stated,

    “And for these there is no parental notification.” Dawson went on to say, “I think a good way to think about all these services that California has decided are so important that we are going to allow minors to go into a doctor’s office and consent to these services.” “Because they are just that important and students need to be able to access them.”

   Instructions on gender theory are also provided, explaining to teachers that “opting out of just LGBTQ stuff is illegal and should be impossible.” The ACLU did not disclose how the video was falsified and it appears to have combined different aspects of the meetings and blurred faces (a requirement of YouTube). An ACLU spokeswoman told the DCNF,

    “In January, the ACLU of Southern California was invited to a meeting hosted by the Riverside County Office of Education to give a presentation on state laws concerning student access to health care and comprehensive sexual health education.” “All statements made at that meeting by ACLU representatives are in accord with California law. The video of these remarks has been doctored, thereby distorting the presentation.”

   Thompson is reported as describing what the ACLU is doing as devastatingly unethical despite how legal they believe the video is. Thompson told the DCNF,

    “They are clearly coaching school district personnel to mark a child as present, supposedly meeting with a school administrator, while actually seeking medical attention (abortion) without parental consent, just so they can still receive their federal funding.”

  Thompson referred to federal funding due to a discussion in the video which shows a person (identified as an ACLU attorney) informing teachers that they must mark a child’s attendance for “financial” reasons.

   According to Andrews, the California Schools are starting to use a curriculum known as Positive Prevention Plus. This curriculum contains adult content and includes photos and drawings of every type of sexual activity imaginable.  Andrews says the video explains that the schools should inform children about mutual masturbation, gender roles, blood play, dental dams, and fisting stating,

    “They talk about anal and oral sex as an alternative to regular sex because you can’t get pregnant.”

   Suzanne Gallagher, Parental Rights in Education Executive Director, told the Daily Caller that the video exhibits “a clear political agenda to destroy the traditional family in America.”

   She went on to say,

   “Until now, the American family was considered to be the foundation of civic life; the smallest form of government, where children are taught responsibility, respect for authority, and national pride.” “Now, legislation passed throughout the states is designed to support minor rights, not parents’ rights. In the name of equity and inclusion, children are required to know and accept every form of sexual behavior, even though those behaviors are dangerous and contrary to their parents’ beliefs.”

   Mary Rice Hasson is an attorney and author of the book “Get Out Now: Why You Should Pull Your Child from Public School Before It’s Too Late.” The book examines progressive and gender education in public schools across the nation. She is also the director of the Catholic Women’s Forum and has reportedly told the Daily Caller that the video exposed by “Our Watch” is “powerful” and “deadly accurate.”

   Hasson asks the question, “Who gave progressive LGBTQ activists, Planned Parenthood or the ACLU the right to teach other people’s kids about queer identities and explicit sexuality? Especially over the objection of the kids’ own parent?”

   Are public schools authorized to provide this sort of training without consent? Is the Positive Prevention Plus program just the beginning of a national sex ed transformation?  Think back on your sexual education lessons and ask yourself, would you have benefited more as an adult from sexual education had it been taught in this progressive manner? Ask yourself how your parents would have reacted to such explicit content. I always thought the goal was to inform students on how to practice safe sex in order to avoid catching diseases or becoming pregnant. I never imagined it would turn into a course on how to teach our young children the most pleasurable way to satisfy your
partner. Maybe I am mistaken. Are you?
