Antifa Strikes Again -- Each Time Nothing's Done, The Situation Will Get Worse!

   Over this past weekend there was a rally held in Portland, Oregon by the Proud Boys called "Him Too." The Proud Boys are a right-winged group that is the counter organization to the left-wing Antifa. Before the protest even got started there was a violent outbreak by Antifa, who was at the event to counter-protest. 

  Unfortunately, one of the victims of this latest mob attack was Quillette editor Andy Ngo. Ngo has been an ardent non-supporter of Antifa, who frequently posts tweets following Antifa and their violent protests. Before going to cover the protest, Ngo was worried that violence could occur and that he could be the victim of such an attack.

  According to the footage, Ngo was physically assaulted by a group of "anti-fascists" who proceeded to kick and punch him. Not only was he beaten by this group of thugs, but he was also robbed of his camera equipment, cell phone, and got infamously "milkshaked." 

   

    Milkshaking, is a trend that has become popular from across the pond in our fellow ally's country, the United Kingdom. Most left-wing media and personalities describe milkshaking as a non violent way for left-minded people to protest the rise of "radical" right-wing politicians and pundits. The purpose of this is to essentially embarrass the victim in a public setting and supposedly doesn't intend to cause physical injury.

   On this day however, the Portland Police Department said in a statement, 

    "Police have received information that some of the milkshakes thrown today during the demonstration contained quick-drying cement. We are encouraging anyone hit with a substance today to report it to police."

   These activists have gone from screaming down opposing views and threats of violence, to now physical assaults. The violence has been rearing its ugly head for a long time with Antifa and nothing is being done to protect the people from this terroristic threat to our society. Thus, they are brazen enough to get cups of cement and assault anyone who opposes the views that they posses. It's quite the irony that the people trying to "save" our society from a fascist regime have now become the true fascists of our time.

   We would usually praise the police for responding to a person or people in need, but in this case their response seems almost unsympathetic considering Ngo's attack took place in front of the Oregon Justice Center.(which is home to the sheriff's office as well as a police precinct) Perhaps the police would like to do more, but it has been reported that Mayor Ted Wheeler, supports the police when they stand down from Antifa protesters. This was very apparent when Antifa, back in October 2018, created a road block as well as harassed passing drivers-by. Portland police decided the best course of action was to not react, but to stand by and let the mob rule the day. 

   This inaction has not gone unnoticed, especially amongst the supposed anti-fascist members of our society. With this latest grotesque attack on a citizen and fellow journalist, you would expect the mainstream media to be up in arms about it. Not surprisingly, most mainstream media tentatively touched on this subject over the weekend. Perhaps it is because they have already commented on Antifa by claiming they are a righteous group of citizens fighting white supremacists. Don Lemon of CNN, referring to Antifa in 2018 stated,

   "Listen, no organization's perfect. there was some violence. No one condones violence, but there were different reasons for Antifa and for the neo-Nazis to be there. One, racists, fascists, the other group, fight racist fascsists(sic). There is a distinction there."

   The fact of the matter is that there is no distinction. Violence is violence, period. Trying to put morality and value on beating another human being regardless of their politics is disgusting and wrong. We have the right as Americans to speak our mind and our opinions without the threat of violence. 

   However, it seems that those elected and hired to protect our rights are no longer willing to stand up for what's right in this country. Antifa needs to be handled and handled swiftly before the violence goes beyond assault and into uncharted territory, which nobody wants to endure.

   At the time of this publication the Mayor of Portland has not released a statement regarding this incident.
